1. Telangana Bill: Today Telangana Bill passed in Rajya sabha by voice vote amid bedlam. This bill deviding Andhrapradesh. Now Telangana is 29th state of India.2. Facebook to acquire WhatsApp in USD 19 billion deal. Based on agreements WhatsApp co-founder and CEO Jan Koum will join Facebook Board of Directors. Both products will continue to operate as standalone applications.
3. 1978 Batch IAS Officer Saurabh Chandra, will be the new Oil Secretary. Chanda, will replace Vivek Rae who is retiring on 28-February-2014.
4. "Brand Summit 2014" :- The third edition of Brand Summit of Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) will be held in Kochi on 4-March-2014 .
5. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to introduce 9-digit alpha Numeric UIN(Unique identification Number) for hallmarked Jewels. Note: The director general of BIS is Mr. Sunil Soni.
